About the event
This concert features the following works for wind orchestra. What's a wind orchestra? Well, simply put, it is an orchestra with 'no strings attached!' A great deal of literature has been composed and arranged for wind orchestra, and this unique combination of instruments can produce sounds you cannot find in a string orchestra.
For our third concert, we will be performing the following works:
- Flourish for Band by Ralph Vaughan Williams
- Danse Bacchanale by Camille Saint-Saens
- Shenandoah arranged by Frank Ticheli
- A Movement for Rosa by Mark Camphouse
- The Speed of Heat by Julie Giroux
- Handel in the Strand by Percy Grainger
- The Seal Lullaby by Eric Whitacre
- The Radetzky March by Johann Strauss
Everyone is cordially invited to attend the reception after the concert. A free-will offering for the benefit of the Music Foundation of Greater Naples will be presented for those interested in contributing.
