Please help us!
We strive to make music accessible to all students of merit and economic need.
Music should NOT be a luxury!
Our average student comes from a household of 4 with incomes below $50,000. Southwest Florida is an expensive place to live, and the cost of a private lesson - $60 for 45 minutes - is a luxury they simply cannot afford.
Our students are hard-working and worthy of your support:
-
The average GPA for our students is 3.93
-
They take on average 3.5 honor-level courses
We also support the operating costs for students, which can also be expensive for our families:
-
$400 to overhaul a woodwind or brass instrument
-
$100 to restring a violin bow
-
$30 for a box of 10 clarinet reeds
-
$25 for 1 oboe reed
-
$40 for a set of percussion mallets
The Music Foundation is a volunteer organization that means that more than 90% of your donation goes directly to support our kids. Your donation will be used to support 1) private lessons for students who cannot afford them, 2) our annual scholarship competition, and/or 3) to cover other music expenses for students who lack the means to cover the costs (music, supplies, repairs). If you would like to make a gift directed to a specific cause or need, please contact Joe Duffy, MFGN President, at joe.duffy@musicfoundationnaples.org.
Thank you!
