Our Impact:
Haegg / Sansom Private Programs
We have 18 students in our Haegg (Middle School) and 19 students in our Sansom (High School) program. Lessons cost $80/hour for a cost of $3,000 for each student.
Fernando Classroom Piano for Title 1 Elementary Schools
Our Fernando program provides classroom based piano lessons in 5 Title 1* schools after school. Students are exposed to the fundamentals of music through the piano, and promising students are offered private piano lessons. We are currently offering this program in 5 Title 1 schools.
* Title I schools are educational institutions that receive federal funding to support students from low-income families
Learning Elementary to Advanced Piano (LEAP)
Long time MFGN Sponsors Anne Roberts and Myra Williams funded our private piano lesson programs for students in the 4th through 11th grades. We have 10 students in our LEAP program.
Master Class Program
This program provides Collier County Public School students access to professional clinicians to assist music teachers with specialized instruction for areas of need for that school. This past year, we provided 11 Middle School programs, 6 in Title 1 schools, 2 High Schools, with 13 clinicians and 67 classes!
Scholarship Competition
Over 70 students competed for cash prizes of nearly $30,000 in our 53rd Annual Scholarship Competition. Students are judged by an independent panel of professional musicians, and prizes are awarded based on merit.

Summer Orchestra Camp
This past summer, we supported the Summer Orchestra Camp offered by Cathy Pflieger and Roland Forti. We welcomed over 90 students over a 2 week period to develop their chamber and ensemble skills.

ADULT MUSIC PROGRAMS
Talented adults convene monthly in each others home to share their love of music. We also hold recitals for our Members who wish to perform in a live concert setting.

Our 53rd annual Scholarship Competition took place in April 2024, and once again, we were blown away by the exceptional talent on display. The competition is open to students in grades 6 through 12 Collier County, Bonita Springs, and Estero, and is based on merit.
