Mr. Farmer, 43, is currently a General Partner of a private equity firm. Mr. Farmer was a founder, original COO and Board Member for over 10 years of the publicly-traded FiberNet Telecom Group Inc. (previously NASDAQ: FTGX) from inception in 1998 through the final sale of the company to a private equity group in 2009.  Mr. Farmer also founded and ran a boutique brokerage and investment banking firm in Istanbul, Turkey, that held seats on the Istanbul Stock Exchange. He previously founded a private merchant banking fund based in Istanbul, Turkey, and Vaduz, Liechtenstein, which made investments throughout Eastern Europe and the Middle East.  Mr. Farmer was also President of Sterling Capital, a private investment firm based in New York.  Mr. Farmer is deeply involved in the arts and religion and has served on the Board of numerous international performing arts organizations, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Istanbul State Ballet, and has organized numerous international music festivals. He holds an A.B. from Princeton University, a M.Ed from Harvard University and a M.A.R./M.Phil from Yale University.

Mr. Farmer is a major supporter of the Performing Arts in our community. He is an Arts Patron of the United Arts Council of Collier County. He is also Chairman and President of  the annual ArtsNaples World Festival – a 10-day festival held in May.
